Hey Fitness fans, welcome back to this episode of the Future of Fitness podcast and interview series. Today I am joined by Angela Anderson. Welcome, Angela.

SPEAKER_00

Hello, Eric. How's it going?

SPEAKER_03

It's going great. Uh, it's about to get a lot better. So I'm really excited for this. I think you know, you um you have something unique to offer, uh, at least within my my sphere of influence and my my experience. And I think it touches on something that is probably the number one challenge for most business people, fitness professionals, entrepreneurs is what goes on between our two ears, right? Is the mindset and and the things that we don't even know that we we don't know. And uh today we're gonna dive into it. So before we get into the real meat of it, can you please just give us an introduction into who you are and your background in the fitness industry and kind of how you got to to where you are today?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so um I am a health and fitness professional myself, and I also work with other entrepreneurs in the health and fitness and wellness industry, and I have my groupies of exceptional enthusiasts that I work with as well. And my main thing is I like to help you wake up like a kid on Christmas every single morning, and you feel like energized and excited and you're filled with belief of possibility. Um, the other thing about us is that oftentimes like we're pushing, like you know, in a workout, we're the the philosophy is to push and go hard and rip those muscles apart. So sometimes we can let that bleed over into our lives. So I really help entrepreneurs stop feeling like they have to push all the time and force things to happen. And then at the end of the day, what happens on Christmas? There's one of two things, or maybe a combo of both. Hopefully, you lay your head down at night celebrating, but if you're acting like a spoiled little brat, then we get to look at that and find out well, why are you not grateful and why are you not appreciating what's in front of you? So that's kind of that's what I do. Um, I've got tons of years of experience as an entrepreneur when I was 26 years old and I returned from the Peace Corps. I served in Paraguay. I was working at a desk job for like six months, and I couldn't do it. It was boring. I just felt like a bull in a china shop. Um, and so I met my husband, who was my boyfriend then, and we ran off to India to study Ashtanga Yoga with Batabi Joyce. And then we moved to South America, and that was super fun. And then we decided to settle down. So we settled down and we came back to southern Colorado, here where I live. I have a straw bale home, it's passive solar, it's all built with mostly recycled material. So, like, for example, my floors are um they're made out of a uh the deck of a ship of a big shipping freight from the ocean. Yeah. And our windows are like these big car room, uh showroom windows that he pulled, and we've got copper on the staircase. It just anyway, we just have our own slice of heaven here, and I became a stay-at-home mom, had my kids on the bed downstairs in the in the little room that was kind of like a cave. And and it was one of those things where I was like, okay, I'm fat, I'm out of shape, I don't feel good about myself, my kids are little, what can I do? So that's when I restarted my fitness journey, and I became really inspired to become a fitness instructor because it was a side hustle that I could do having little kids. Yeah, and there there were some mistakes that I made, and I know that a lot of fitness instructors who could be listening to this can relate to hauling your kids to your classes, trying to find babysitting, um, you know, missing dinners with your family, working on weekends, because you want to find a purpose outside of the home and your own thing that you're doing, um, yet you're struggling to juggle it all. And that was me. And um, so then I was like, you know what, there's gotta be a better way. And some of the things that, and I'll just be straightforward with you, Eric, that ticked me off about the health and fitness industry was how little we got paid and kind of this feeling of being taken for granted, where people can just kind of come and go to your classes, like a revolving door thing. Oh, I'm gonna come this week and I'm not, or I'm gonna commit and pay you even, but then not show up and use my classes. And it was just really weird to me, coming from an entrepreneurial spirit of, hey, this is business. I want to provide a top quality service and have you consume it and get the results, but where's the missing link? So I was trying to piece all that together, and I was deciding, like a lot of us, do I get a personal trainer certification? Do I go to nutrition school? What do I do? And I had all of these other skills in the background that I was taking for granted, like that spoiled little brat thing that I was talking about earlier. Um, and so I was like, wait a minute, I'm gonna go online and I'm gonna position myself as somebody who can help you work with your mind. Because I had had before I even got into the health and fitness industry, and what even brought me to the industry was a client of mine when I had my own bookkeeping business who is the creator of Psyche. And it is a format, um, it's a it's like a system that is nutrients for the mind to help you access your subconscious belief system and do upgrades in your mind. So, for example, Eric, let me ask you, okay, you're on a computer right now. I'm on a computer. Did you write a document this week?

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Do you have documents on your computer that are two, three, five years old?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah. Yes. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. So if you were to find one that you wrote this week and one that you wrote five years ago and open them up side by side, and they have the same amount of words and all that, and run a spell check at the same time, which one would spell check faster?

SPEAKER_03

Probably the new one because I have grammarly. I don't know if that's the answer you're looking for.

SPEAKER_00

Old school. Yeah. But mostly it wouldn't take that much longer. Right. So my point is we walk around thinking that we're carrying all this baggage, and we are. We've got a lot of things going on. Even people who are super successful, we still have things that we're working on to try and get to next the next level, feel more peaceful inside, have a better relationship with our spouse, um, raise our kids more lovingly, make more money so that we can start a foundation. Regardless of where we're at in our journey, we all are pointing our minds forward towards a certain goal. And sometimes it feels like there's stuff that gets in the way, and we second guess ourselves, or or we, when someone asks us, you know, how much we charge, we kind of fumble around because it's that self-worth programming that starts to come up and and make you stumble over your words or bend over backwards or add in a bunch of bonuses and discounts. So my point is with a computer, is sometimes we don't we work with our minds, but we work with it mostly on the conscious level. And although it's super well-meaning, affirmations and positive thinking, and mastermind groups, and feeding ourselves information on a conscious level, there's a whole part of our mind that we are missing. So, what I learned to do and what I brought into my fitness business with my clients, with my team, with myself and in my life is work with people on that those subconscious levels to really get to the heart and soul, that deep programming, those those um misspelled words, and help you correct them and upgrade them. And the cool thing is, is it just if you have an old program that says I'm fat and I so I'm never gonna be a successful trainer because I can't seem to reach my have that like look. Um, if you have that program running in your subconscious, you can upgrade it and you can change it just as fast as if you as if you had it for 10 years or five minutes ago. So I want us to all sit and think about your mind and it working as quickly as a computer. And um, you know that um that picture of the iceberg. Can you imagine iceberg? And have you heard like I I don't know if it's Freudian or what it is, but maybe in psychology class, right? So your mind is like an iceberg, and the tip is 5% of what you can see, and the and then under the surface. So think of it as your conscious mind of what you can see. You can hear me, maybe you're aware of a few things around you, some sounds, some birds or whatever. But then there's all this stuff going on below the level of the surface. Your digestive system, chewing on your breakfast, your heart rate, um, your physical that is helping you sit up straight and really uh understand the words. And so we often we often think that what you can't see below the surface might be like scary or unknown, but it's not. It's just below the level of the surface. Is an iceberg an iceberg? Yeah. Is your conscious mind any better than your subconscious? No. But when in terms of change, what the science and the research and everything has found is that when you can access your subconscious, that is what is ruling all of those programs in the background. You upgrade those programs like a spell check or an app update on your phone, and you don't have to freaking push as hard, try as hard, concentrate as hard. You still have to put the action steps in, yeah. But it just feels differently. Like remember, Eric, when you first started working out or teaching CrossFit, there was all this stuff you had to remember. Like fitness people, we have to remember all you know, all the cues, all the form when you first get your certifications, but then after a while, it is natural. Yeah, and imagine programs such as I love myself, I hate myself, the world is filled with liars and robbers, or the world is filled with fairies and smurfs. What if you were actually operating from positive programs like that on a subconscious level all the time? Kind of like there's a bear shit in the woods, yeah. Do I love myself? Yeah. Do I deserve to be successful? Yeah. And you feel that way. How could you go into your life facing challenges and taking on new things if that was the undertone of your life? So obviously, I'm super excited about that. And that's what I want all of us to know is that we're all working on ourselves. If you're, I mean, anyone who's listening to this podcast, obviously you're here because you want to learn, you want to be better, you want to work on yourself. But I want you to entertain that maybe there is a faster way, maybe there is a more graceful way, and that is through learning about your subconscious mind, accessing your subconscious mind, and upgrading your program from there instead of putting whipped cream on garbage, like what a lot of us try and do with spending money on coaches. How many websites have you built? You know, and now they're in a black hole.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

How many diets have you done?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I have a uh I have a whole graveyard of of ideas and websites, right? I mean, you know, it's interesting, just reflecting on what you're talking about in my own personal experience too, is you know, when I was started coaching people, um, specifically in Crossquicks, that was the world I was in. Um, I was a ch I was a chubby kid. I was like, you know, between the ages of eight and twelve, I was I was really chubby. And I was a swimmer. So I had to stuff myself in a speedo twice a day and go out and be with my peers, especially young girls and things like that. So it really like ingrained something in my head that I probably haven't even that's probably like a whole layer of things I need to deal with. But I always felt like when I was coaching CrossFit, I'm like, oh God, I'm still fat. You know, how can I, how can I be telling these people what to do? How can I and then I it was funny because I looked back and I was finding some photos, I was looking for some some stuff to do, some content creation, and I found a photo of me um like five years ago. I was ripped. I was just ripped. I could see like, and I at that time I still thought I was fat. You know, it was it was the weirdest thing, right? Like you could see eight eight abs, right, right here, and they're not there now. But um, the whole point was that, yeah, it resonated with me. I'm like, God, that must have been some deeply ingrained shit going on that I probably need to deal with to make myself even more efficient in life.

SPEAKER_00

Dude, that is body dysmorphia, and I had that too. I was like 108 pounds when I was 20. And as a woman, I was a cardio queen, right? So I was running marathons and have marathons like in my spare time. It's ridiculous. And I still would look in the mirror and be like, you know, you're you're not good enough.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Because when I was in fourth grade, I got the idea, and I was a swimmer too, that I had fat legs. Yep. Intense. And so our beliefs have far, far reaching consequences. So whenever we go and we make decisions, it's like, Eric, like we let me give you the example of like little kids. You've probably seen little kids who are super shy, and they're when they're out in public, they're like holding on to their mom's leg and they're burying their face. And then there's kids that are outgoing and they're out there playing and meeting friends, and and there's and there's nothing different about the environment. Nothing different whatsoever. What's different is the perceptual filters that are in their mind that are saying to them, this is not okay, stay shy, or this is okay. So we're all walking around with our set of glasses on of perceptual filters. And when we're kids, we are programmed by the people that are around us, our parents, um, teachers, uh, the people closest to us. And I want to make it clear that I'm not here to blame anybody or hash up like all the details and the drama and trauma. Everyone's doing the best that they can, but some of us grew up in real screwed up situations.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And we were shamed and we were told all kinds of screwed up things. And the cool thing is, is it stands to reason that if you were programmed once, you can reprogram. And some of us believe, you know, you can't teach an old dog new tricks, or I'm too screwed up to change, like I'm way beyond fixing, like I'm a whole kind of other level of messed up, you know, or dude, I've already spent $30,000. Like, I can't do this anymore, stuff like that. But um, so we're programmed when we're at a young age, and as we get older, our experiences become more complex. So, like, for example, another example that I love to use is when you're learning, when you're getting the program that fire is hot, that it's dangerous. Some kids get close to the flame, they feel the heat, they feel uncomfortable. At the same time, they're told by an apparent or an adult around them, you know, careful, hot, you know, move away, whatever. Unfortunately, other kids, like my son, had to get burned. He he burned himself bad, like by the sternum on our wood stove, and you can still see the scar to learn that fire is hot, and that's a really good program to have. But as we get older, Eric, we get burned in other ways, right? Yeah, burned in business, burned in relationships. And so we walk around with these perceptual filters, and then we just perpetuate it and recreate those cycles because it's protection, it's safety, it's it's what we know.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So um, it's like having a virus on your computer, and when you realize, wait a minute, I have a virus, and like you said, you looked at yourself, you had a ripped body, yet you still couldn't appreciate it. And you had a virus in your system. So we don't, you know, say, okay, well, he's dead, put him down. Yeah, we just get rid of the virus.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And so that's another thing that people think is, uh, well, you know, I can't be fixed. It's like these these rollover and play dead mentality of, well, this is just what it's like when you get older, or this is just what it's like when you're in business. Like, I can't sleep in, I have to hustle, I have to spend thousands of dollars all the time. I'm not saying that you don't invest in yourself, but if you find yourself, and this is one thing that I find with a lot of us is we invest and invest and invest and invest, and it's like, whoo!

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

When is this gonna take off?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and I think a you know, a common um routine or a common theme that you see is is uh entrepreneurs going from one business coach to the next, you know, you know, giving in a month or two here, trying this one, or doing two simultaneously, things like that that happen when really just picking one and then just going all in in that lane and seeing where it takes you. You know, that seems to be a big one. Um so I'm curious, Andrew, would you walk us through some of the processes that that you go through with people to help uncover some of these things? Or what what can you give us that are action steps for the listeners?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So the the first three things that we need to embrace consciously is one, you create your reality.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And it can be provocative for some people because a lot of people act like victims, like look on the news feed, you know, it's the government's fault, or if only I had enough time or money or whatever. But I know that you and people listening to this podcast are invested in creating your reality. So, one, you're a co-creator of your reality. The second is there is some science that is helpful to understand. Obviously, I can't go all into it, and to be honest with you, science is kind of my weak area, but I know enough to be able to just say, look, um, there is a book called The Biology of Belief by Dr. Bruce Lichton. And the best quote from the book is that we are not victims of our biology, that we can actually learn to better manage our biology by engaging the mind and in particular the subconscious. And so Bruce shows all this research: biology, epigenetics, uh, cellular cellular biology, science above the genes, to show us that your genes just don't turn themselves on and off, but they are activated by the environment around you. And furthermore, you influence the environment around you by your perceptions, those filters I was talking about. And then the third thing to understand is yeah, those first steps to reprogramming your mind, which is accessing your subconscious mind and working there first instead of going a lot. Inside last, like I'm gonna start a new workout program or change my eating or hire a coach or get another website or blah blah blah. Let's start on the inside and then let's see what we are called to do, the people, places, circumstances, opportunities that come to us as a result of our inside change. So if you want to, let's just get into it and I can walk you through a process, a simple process that I do with my clients.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, let's do it.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. So what do you want? Question number one.

SPEAKER_03

What do I want? Um from like a life perspective or um anything.

SPEAKER_00

I know earlier we were talking about bugging people.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, so here's here's the background. So on Mastermind Group call this morning, and I found myself using this language, which I instantly recognized, but I didn't, it just came out. And it was this is you know, hey, you know, if I'm um pitching a new service or product, um, which we are right now, we always are. Um I don't want to feel like I said, hey, I don't want to bug the same group of people, right? And that was instantly grabbed on by the group and they recognize and try to work me through logically why it's not bugging people, right? But that that I think there's something there, right? I feel like I'm bugging people.

SPEAKER_00

So what how would you rather feel when you launch a new program?

SPEAKER_03

Um I would rather feel that I'm offering something um or I'm presenting something that they absolutely need and can change their life. Not that much confidence, right? Saying, like, hey, no, you this is this is your cure to cancer. You know, this is this is something you need. Okay. Which I think fitness professionals, and just kind of segueing into this, is something that is a belief that's very, very common within the fitness profession.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. I know, I totally agree. You're like, oh, wait a minute, maybe I'll just give it to you for free.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um, so I can get a testimonial. Okay, so uh the the thing that I pulled out of this is confidence, Eric. Is being able to um confidently offer value.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. So in in this process to begin speaking with your subconscious mind is we speak in first person, present tense. So let's form a statement that is that is demonstrative of what you want. So an example would be I I offer or I confidently offer valuable programs and services. Could that could be an example? It's juiciest when we can use your words. So if you want to put together a simple first person presence tense statement, then we'll take that and we'll move on and we will muscle test it against your subconscious belief system to see if it's true or not in your current reality.

SPEAKER_03

Um I can absolutely provide clarity to a fitness professional and their business. How's that?

SPEAKER_00

I can absolutely provide clarity to a fitness professional and their business. Did you want to use the word confidence? Was that juicy for you?

SPEAKER_03

No, not really. I just kind of said it because you said it.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, okay, right on.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. I how about okay, so let's take the word can out and let's just say and let's make it even more straight to the point. I absolutely provide clarity to a fitness professional and their business.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. So normally, Eric, in a private session with me, is I teach the muscle testing process with my client so that they self-muscle test. But in order to save time and do a do it just as effectively, what we'll do, because this is energy work, think about it as like a radio frequency. It doesn't matter if you're listening to something in Dubai or in South America, the frequency can still come in loud and clear through brick and concrete straw bale walls. So, what we'll do is use my physical body to tap into your energetic body to do the muscle testing on your behalf. And this is going to take some belief and trust and just being open.

SPEAKER_01

Sure.

SPEAKER_00

But what's cool about this is you don't really need to believe or trust in it in order for shifts to happen. So I'm gonna hold up my fingers like this, and this is how I muscle test. My feet are down on the ground. I don't have they're not crossed because I don't want to cross the midline of my body. Um, because we're working with our mind, our left and our right brain hemisphere, we want to keep the channel, the corpus colostrum, which is the connector open, and create a whole brain state. So if I have any kind of posture crossing the midline, that can just scramble up the signal a little bit. Okay, so the first thing we're gonna do is establish communication. This is an advanced process that we learn in the advanced course. All right. Uh, it is safe and appropriate for Angela to be a surrogate for Eric, and that tested strong. It is safe and appropriate for Eric to have Angela as a surrogate, and that is strong. My name is Angela. That's weak. My name is Eric. Strong. Okay, we're in. So now what we're gonna do is say, I'll have you say out loud, I absolutely provide clarity to a fitness professional and their business, and we will muscle test that.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. I absolutely provide clarity to a fitness professional and their business.

SPEAKER_00

Nice try. So that was a week. But we don't care, right? We're we're curious, that's what we're here to do. Okay. So the next thing we're gonna do, and I'm gonna I just talk this out loud as clients continue to work with me. They don't need to know all the processes because we're used to it. But again, this is a safety issue for a lot of people's for their subconscious mind to understand what's going on. So the next thing that we ask is we always ask if it's safe and appropriate. Because sometimes what the changes that people want are not safe and appropriate for their life path and in their highest and best good. And if you continue on anyway, then you are doing black magic, and that's not cool, and we don't want that kind of energy out in the world. Right. All right. So it is safe and appropriate to balance for the school now, strong. So balance means that what's happening here is I got a weak signal, which means that your left and your right brains, they're not communicating, there's not a crosstalk going on when you feel and you think in your body, I absolutely provide clarity to a fit pro in their business. That is why when something's happened, you know, you choked up and felt like you bugging people and you have that rub going on.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. So the goal is to open up the two hemispheres. That way you can access all the characteristics of both, create a whole brain state when you are working with your fitness professionals and come from a solid place of providing clarity. All right.

SPEAKER_03

So the next question is And Angela, if you can explain what you're doing with the muscle testing for people who are just listening to audio.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Okay, so I'm holding up my hand, and I've got my fingers in a circle. So my index finger and my thumb are touching, and I'm holding, I'm not pressing them together super, super hard, but I'm what I'm trying to do is hold them firmly, and then I'm bringing in the index finger of my other hand to try and break that ring open. And I have 10 years experience doing this, so I'm very solid in my muscle testing. Um, but sometimes when people self-muscle test, they that can get a little wonky, and that's a trust issue, and so you need to start there and work on that.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

But that's the what I'm actually doing. There's a lot of ways to self-muscle test as well, and I we just find the best way when I'm working long distance with a client. When I'm working in person with a client, we use the arm and we muscle test with the arm.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. So the next uh question is is does your subconscious mind know what the heck you're talking about when it comes to providing clarity for the fitness professional? The system needs a back to the future for the school. Strong. Okay. So what this means is the subconscious mind is like, cool, dude, but I don't we don't really know what you're talking about. So we're gonna go through a process, and I'm sorry, this is really cool that we're going through this uh, because a lot of people struggle with it. And we're gonna go through a process of clarifying. So the first thing, the first question is, Eric, is what are you going to see in your life that you don't currently see when you know you've absolutely provide clarity to a fitness professional and their business. Before you start though, treat me like I'm a five-year-old kid and be super simple and pretend that I'm like the paparazzi following you around with a camera. I can't hear you, I don't know what your feelings are, I can only see out of my eyes what's going on. So, for example, someone who wants to lose 50 pounds is gonna see themselves standing in front of the mirror in skinny jeans. Five-year-old can understand that. Very clear. So let's three things.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, so are you taught? Is this more of, and this is my understanding? So this is like my vision of what will happen when this when this change takes place, right? Like what my life will look like, what okay.

unknown

Yep.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, so that picture I painted in my mind a million times. So um it looks like this. It means that my wife and I and our family, we can travel literally every weekend because the thing that's holding us back now, um and I'll get to where all this goes, is that um my wife still has a corporate job, which she loves at the time, but I would love to give her the option to move on if she wanted to, right? Um and then if we did that, then through that that clarity that I can provide for business professionals, that will increase a state of abundance within my business that gives us more freedom to do all the things that we want to do.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

There's a lot of places we want to go.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so just uh name, let's pick one place. Where's where's the first place you'll go?

SPEAKER_03

Um, when we achieve that level of freedom, we will go to Europe and we'll spend um probably the French Alps. That's what we keep talking about. We want to ski the French Alps. Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so there we we've got it. I'm a I'm the five-year-old, and you're telling me my wife and I are skiing the French Alps, and I'm looking on my calendar and it says it's Saturday.

SPEAKER_03

Or Thursday.

SPEAKER_00

Or Thursday.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Love it, French Alps. Okay. Now, income goal. And you can type in the chat if you want. You can give me a figure. Um, and what I like to do with income goals is you can say, you know, X amount of figures or more. Yeah. And so we'll write that down and have it the so anyone who's listening, my I'll tell you, my first income goal was to have five figures in my bank account at all times. Guys, that's only a thousand dollars. But that's where I was at when I first started my business, and it's a reality in my life, okay. All right, so we've got an income, a specific income goal, and what's the third thing that you'll have in your life that you'll see?

SPEAKER_03

Um I think it would be a tribe of people that I work with, you know, but that satisfaction of knowing that I have that that tribe of fitness professionals or business people that I'm working with that I get a lot of purpose and value out of. So it's that exchange, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Um, so let's define the exchange. Is it are you um, I don't know, hanging out in your van eating sandwiches, getting ready to go climbing?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it could be. I mean, I see it this way. That that's awesome, by the way. Yes, that's great. But I see like, you know, like on the Zoom screen, this is a way of it was a vision. It is just a full screen of of people from all over the world that are meeting in a in a group.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so a zoom screen.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, like that's a literally the division that I have.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. So um it I I when I'm on a zoom, a big Zoom, about 20, 25 people looks pretty full.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So do we do do you want to define the number of people who are logging in?

SPEAKER_03

Uh 15.

SPEAKER_00

15 plus people. Okay. And then how about we say in the chat, um, people, there's people from let's define three places that they're saying they're dialing in from.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. See.

SPEAKER_00

Well, like for example, you've got the Zoom screen filled with 15 people, and then you also have your chat open. Oh, okay. Right, you're reading the words Denmark or you know, Germany.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, gotcha. Gotcha. Canada. Yeah, I would say uh, well, Canada for sure. Um trying to think of somewhere in South America, Brazil, because that's where my wife's from, and uh France.

SPEAKER_00

Awesome. Okay. All right. So the next thing is what are people going to be saying about you or to you when you are providing absolute clarity?

SPEAKER_03

Um the words will be, you know, in in essence gratitude, but more sharing of their success, like excitement that they've broken through and they've they've worked hard to achieve something, and then they've got there, and now they're they're enjoying the benefit of it. So um not sure how to boil that down even more. Is that does that does that resonate?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, let's boil it down.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yep, let's boil it down. Subconscious mind is and I'll tell you this, I'll give you another story. I love these anecdotes, especially for our listeners and people beginning this process and wrapping their mind around it. Is one time I was baking a pie. Did I tell you this one before?

SPEAKER_03

No.

SPEAKER_00

I was baking a pie, and you know how berry pies you pull them out of the oven, and if you cut them right away, they'll, you know, they need to sit and cool off. So I was baking a pie, my kids were like four and six years old, and I pulled it out of the oven and they were super excited. And I said, you know, we've got to let it cool off because if I cut a piece, it's gonna run all over the kitchen. And they started laughing hysterically. Because guess what they were picturing? Right? The pie with legs and everything. Right? That's what they were. I was like, oh my gosh, this is what they're thinking. Yeah. So um run all over the kitchen is a literal thing. Um, if someone were to be doing this process again, the weight loss is a really easy one. So their husband would say, Honey, you I've never been more um attracted to you. That would be something specific that they someone would say about them or to them that they're not currently hearing in their life. Or like I've had random people, like literally the lady at the coffee shop be say exactly what I wanted to hear, and I didn't know who she was or anything like that. I was like, boom! It's like when you ask for the sign and the guy on the radio is singing directly to you. We're planting that.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. So yeah. Yeah, I think the conversation that would happen that would know is someone saying, Thank you for helping me break through.

SPEAKER_00

Have you heard that before?

SPEAKER_03

I have. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Are you currently hearing it now?

SPEAKER_03

Uh I mean, most recently was just uh about three weeks ago. So I haven't heard it today, but I like it more often.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Thank you for helping me break through. Reminds me of the doors. Right down through the okay.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

All right. So what are you gonna say to yourself when I hear that? Uh no. Um, what what is something you will say to yourself when you are providing this clarity? How is your self-talk gonna be?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You went, ooh. Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_03

Um, you know, I tend to ex- I I tend to express myself, you know, in physical ways. Like if I'm happy with the way things are going, you'll see me on the golf course. You'll see me taking the time that, you know, taking an afternoon off because I feel accomplished with that. So whatever that physical resonation of that is, that tends to be how I um how I express to myself the the self the satisfaction, right? That's how I do it.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Um maybe it's something like, you know, hey, let's take the afternoon off.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Okay, so what happens here, Eric, is our, you know, pop culture has really done this thing like your left brain or your right brain. Well, we have both, obviously. But we do tend to lean into one more than the other. So what I'm feeling is happening with you in this particular belief that is that you want to have changed is you're you're residing too much in your left brain because your left brain wants to wants to stay in and do the books and organize and do the hustle. And your right brain is a lot more free and spontaneous. You know, your left brain is like, hell no, we're not going bungeing jumping, that's not safe. Um, and your right brain is like, we, you know, new restaurant, you know, travel trip. So that's where you can see where the conflict is. Uh and you know, we go through our lives like this. It's it's very, very common. And we're changing it right now. Okay, so let's take the afternoon off. All right, so how are you going to feel?

SPEAKER_03

Uh mostly energized. I think that's that's the big thing, is um, you know, when things, I think when anybody, especially me, when things are going well and you're you're accomplishing the things that you set out to do, uh, your energy levels rise. It's this phenomenon, right? It's like you wish you had that energy when when you needed it the most, but you tend to get it after the fact. So I think energized um is is is the big one.

SPEAKER_00

Mm-hmm. Okay. So have you ever felt energized before?

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. So let's do a quick exercise to bring it into your body. So, what we'll do real quick, Eric, is go ahead and close your eyes and just take a deep breath and begin to feel energized. And sometimes it starts with having pictures and images in your mind of a time where you were, but bring it into your body. And when you feel energized, keep your eyes closed and you can nod your head, and I'll have a few more questions that I'm gonna ask. Does it have a location on your body?

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Is there a color?

SPEAKER_03

Red, I think, surprisingly. Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Red? Okay. If you were to reach out and touch it, what would the temperature be?

SPEAKER_03

Uh warm.

SPEAKER_00

If you were to reach out and touch it, would there be a texture to it?

SPEAKER_03

I don't think so.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Is there a shape?

SPEAKER_03

Uh the first thing came to mind was circular.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. All right. So go ahead and open your eyes. And the last step here is what we call an ecology check, which in basic psychology is checking for secondary gains.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And this is huge because people say, I want to change, I want to change, and then they really don't, you know, they they have way too much to gain by staying the same.

SPEAKER_01

Interesting.

SPEAKER_00

So, you know, um, can you think of any adverse consequences to providing clarity at this level and having all of these things manifest in your life?

SPEAKER_03

Zero. No. Yeah, it's all good.

SPEAKER_00

Right on. Okay, right on. So um that okay, so let's go ahead and we'll enter the balance process. And what this is is accessing your subconscious mind and saying, okay, we're ready to do this upgrade.

SPEAKER_02

Cool.

SPEAKER_00

It is safe and appropriate to balance for this goal using the new direction balance. And that's strong. Okay, so in there's a lot of ways that we can create a whole brain state. Um, but we take the passive path of least resistance and we just go down the menu. I have a toolkit with tons of things on the menu, as if you were going to the restaurant, but um, it's safe and appropriate to do the very first one, which is super simple. So, what we'll do, Eric, is have your feet on the ground, make sure they're not crossed or anything like that. We're going to do a um a pretzel. I don't know if you've seen, like sometimes they use it for kids with therapy to help calm them down. They put them in a pretzel position. So we we got to determine your crossover preference, though. So go ahead and cross your right wrist over your left. Okay, so stay there and we'll muscle test that. And that's strong. Okay, and let's flip them in. Left over right. Left over right. Weak. Okay. So hands down by the sides and cross your right ankle over your left. Right over left. Strong. And flip them left over right. Left over right. Weak. Okay, so we're right, right. So this is the fun part. What you'll do is right ankle over left ankle, right wrist over left wrist. Bring your hands together and interlock, place the fingers. Now, if you feel like you can cozy up, does that feel comfortable to you or does it bend your wrists? Okay. So yeah, just go ahead and cozy up and let's close your eyes and take a deep breath. And what you'll do is silently in your mind, repeat the statement. I absolutely provide clarity to a fitness professional and their business. Silently.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So silently repeat that statement. And what's gonna happen is you'll repeat the statement over and over, and you're going to experience a mental, emotional, or physical shift of the old resistance and settle into the new belief. And after you experience that shift, you can go ahead and open your eyes, and I'll be right here with you. And make sure you breathe. It happened?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I think so. Yeah, you know, it's something, it's like I'm right on the verge of of believing it, right? I really am. It's like uh the logical conscious part of me knows it to be true, but that that underlying behavior still seems to be there.

SPEAKER_00

So yeah, I do okay, so go ahead and undo your ankles and we'll put the fingertips together, and it looks almost like a brain, actually. And just eyes focus downwards and we'll lock it in, and we'll just hang out here for about 10 seconds. Okay, so we'll do two more muscle testing. The first one is making sure the process is complete. Because you said, Oh, I think there was a shift, so let's just verify. This process is complete and that tested strong. And the last one is saying the belief statement one more time, and we'll post test it.

SPEAKER_03

I absolutely provide clarity to fit as professionals and their business.

SPEAKER_00

I can't break it. Yeah, how do you want to celebrate?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I'm gonna go golf. I'm out. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Nice. You email me later on because that's actually the last thing is an action step. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So what you went in to that full whole brain posture and you popped right out. What happened?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, you know, it's uh I I do daily affirmations as well. You know, I'm I'm very much into personal development. So um it was really the same process that I go through in the mornings when I do my affirmations, but this was like an additional one. So I think I've started to work that muscle a little bit of learning how to, you know, just sing in enough times we're like, oh yeah, God, I'm right. It's true. It's true, right? Um, so it was it was a very, I don't know if I can describe it, it was the same process I go through with my affirmations in the morning. Um so maybe this is a very, maybe this is the one I add or um, you know, put put that out that one in there, maybe take another one out.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, well, what what I can speak to that is because I know I I I'm not saying that all the other stuff out there, affirmations and visualization meditation aren't good. Um, it's that this is just this is another tool that I have found to be super effective and quick. So, for example, most of my clients, when we finally get into that pretzel position, they're in and they pop right out. Very similar to what happened with you. And they're like, oh my gosh, what happened? That was so quick, and I'm not sure. And it's because your subconscious mind has processes so much faster than your conscious mind, and it can handle so many tasks. It's like take take everything we're aware of on a conscious level, um, you know, all the decisions that you're aware of that you've made and multiply that by 95 and the speed by 95. So when you're in there and then you pop right out, it's because the subconscious is so quick. And um, and when you're in there, the difference between that and maybe a visualization and affirmation is we're not sure if we're accessing our subconscious mind in those modalities and creating that whole brain state. And I'll give the listeners some resources that you can go to so that you can, you know, look at the research. But I was part of a study, we've done a lot of studies in Psyche with neuroscientists, and I actually sat and I was hooked up to this machine, and there's all these wires out on my head. I look like a version of Lady Gaga. And we he he tested my brain before I was in a whole brain state, and then after I finished my whole brain state and the pathways and the colors and the things that were lit up, my brain, the crosstalk that was going on was very different than before. So that's another thing that I can speak to about this particular process that can feel deeper and fuller as opposed to the day in and day out affirmations. Because some of them really do work and some of them feel like they take a long time.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, they do take a long time sometimes. Um so really interesting stuff. I hope everyone enjoyed this journey into my subconscious. And uh I don't know if you ever want to go there. But um so tell us where do people find you? Where do people, if they want to hear more about this, if they want to talk to you, where do they go?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so I have a I actually have two websites. Uh the website that I have just for health, wellness, and fitness entrepreneurs is called Jampacked Fitnessformula.com.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And right there on the front page is for you to be able to listen to my class where I go in more depth about exploring how you can reprogram your beliefs around time, money, and happiness so that you can radically upgrade your success as a health, fitness, and wellness professional. And then the other website that I have is angelaanderson.life. And essentially, it's the same talk that you can go in and get. I've just switched it around a little bit so that it speaks to more of someone who's an enthusiast or who is a parent or just in life and how you can change at the subconscious level in life. And so I go more in depth about how it's not hocus pocus or snake oil, and that really the biggest secret of life is belief, and beliefs control our lives, and you can change your beliefs and perceptions just like we did with Eric. So, so what we'll do, Eric, is I'm gonna check in on you in a couple days, see how you're feeling, send me a picture of you on the golfing course, and we'll just see what transpires because there's really no other homework than that in your subconscious mind. We don't we don't have to make things happen. Um, we can let it now just sit in stew and start getting its receptors out to look for those people, places, and opportunities so you can have these things that we wrote down on paper. And I'll send you the notes of what I took so that you can have them and you can put them away and you can pull them out five years later and be like, damn, you know, look at my skis.

SPEAKER_03

Well, thank you, Angela. That was uh obviously a great benefit to me, uh, but hopefully to our listeners too, and and uh expanding their minds. So um I look forward to your checkup in a few days, and uh, I'm sure we'll be talking soon. Thanks for coming on.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, sounds good.
